JOLIET – In an effort to hear directly from the community, State Senator Rachel Ventura will be joining Will County Board Member Destinee Ortiz and DuPage Township Clerk Barbara Parker for an interactive conversation on the issues facing Will County.
“Engaging in conversations with the community is one of the most important parts of the job as it shapes my work in Springfield,” said Ventura (D-Joliet). “State and local government are so intertwined, and this town hall will serve as a chance to learn how we can better serve the residents of Will County and the constituents of the 43rd District.”
The town hall will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at the Romeoville Recreation Center at 900 W. Romeo Rd. This will be a chance for community members to ask questions, share concerns, offer ideas and weigh in on issues at the state and local level.
“I have many constituents wishing to hear from state officials, so I am thrilled we will be having Senator Ventura joining us for this town hall,” said Will County Board Member Destinee Ortiz. “The partnership between state and local government is crucial, and this town hall is a great opportunity for the community to hear from elected officials at both levels of government.”
